As our president is currently away, please allow me make a few comments in his stead. Spring is here so it is time we dust off our vintage cars, check all the fluids, air the tires, wash off the cobwebs and fire them up for this year’s events. If you look at the list of upcoming events listed in this newsletter, you’ll see we have a lot of shows, displays, and cruises to choose from. Of particular note to our club are two events we have been specifically invited to attend: The Silverwoods Independent Living Community off Rt. 37 has invited us to display our cars for their residents and provide a free lunch as a thank you. The date is Tuesday, June 18th (rain date the 19th) from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. The second is an educational automotive display at Jackson Memorial High School on Thursday, May 30th from 9 am to noon. Breakfast will be provided at that event. Reminders and any additional details on those two events will be printed in the newsletter as we get closer to the actual dates.
